West Union City Council met April 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Council

Chambers with Mayor Kent Halverson presiding for a Work Session on the

FY26-27 Budget.

Attendance Present: Becthold, DeBack, Gumm, McElree, Tope, City Administrator Dexter Wallis, and Mayor Halverson.

Approval of the Motion to approve the agenda as presented was made by Gumm, seconded by

Agenda McElree. All Aye. Carried.

Budget Work Session Council and Wallis discussed proposed department budgets for FY26-27. Council member Gumm noted that salaries would not be approved until June 2026 for FY27; a 3% increase would be used for budgeting purposes and may be adjusted.

Adjourn With no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Becthold, seconded by Gumm. All Aye. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
