Fayette County Releases

On 04/20/2025 at approximately 1:32 AM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance at 28226 W Ave, Waucoma IA.  Once on scene Fayette County Deputies discovered 19-year-old Michael Brannon had assaulted another person at the residence.  Brannon was placed into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail where he awaits his initial appearance. 

 

On April 17,  2025 at approximately 11:00 PM  Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in Maynard for a domestic disturbance.  Upon investigation 44-year-old Ross Cashen of West Union was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail.  Cashen was charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief and Trespassing Causing Damage. 

 

On 4-18-25 at approximately 11:10 am a Fayette County Deputy served three arrest warrants on Frank Everett Bolyn, 71 of Oelwein. The three arrest warrants were for probation violation and bond was set in the amount of $10,000.00 cash or surety total on all three warrants . Bolyn is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail.

 

On 4-18-25 at approximately 6:18 am the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle accident on 40th St east of T Ave. Upon further investigation the driver of the 2016 Jeep Cherokee, Franco Hernandez, 36 of Oelwein was traveling west when his vehicle hydroplaned causing him to go into the ditch and strike a culvert causing approximately $4000.00 in damage to his vehicle. Herandez was not injured and this accident remains under investigation.

 

On 4-18-25 at approximately 8:30 am the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Charles Edward Myles II, 44 of Waterloo was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail on a Fayette County arrest warrant. The warrant was for Failure to Appear, and bond was set in the amount of $1000.00 cash only. Myles was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held awaiting his initial appearance. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.
