On December 14, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Clayton County Communications Center received a 911 call requesting assistance involving 41-year-old Tiffany Scarff. Deputies located suspected drug paraphernalia and conducted field testing, which indicated the presence of fentanyl. Delaware County Authorities release information on minor accident and several arrest incidents
A Ryan man escaped serious injury in a one-vehicle accident in Delaware County. Authorities report that on February 7th at 9:01pm, 48-year old Brian Allan Pettlon was operating a 2021 GMC Sierra on 150th Avenue. Pettlon swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and the vehicle entered the west ditch. The vehicle collided with an embankment. Pettlon was evaluated by medical personnel and released. Damage totaled three-thousand dollars.

The Elkader City Council approves Keystone Wall Repair Project
The Elkader City Council held a public hearing and approved the Keystone Wall Project. Work includes improving the vertical wall, stairs and new railing at a cost of 208-thousand dollars. The Council set March 23 rd as the date for the Property Tax Levy. The preliminary levy is expected to decrease $2.59-per-thousand. Guttenberg City Council approves issuance and sale of Revenue bonds to pay off the Construction Loan for the Guttenberg Resource Center
The Guttenberg City Council held a public hearing and approved the issuance of 1.3-million dollars worth of sale and revenue bonds for the Guttenberg Economic, Industrial, and Development Committee. Funds will be used to pay off a construction loan for the Guttenberg Resource Center. No city taxes will be used for the funding and their is no city commitment.
