SWERT Search Warrant  On February 12, 2026, the Grant County Sheriff's Office took a report that a female victim had presented at a local hospital with several injuries she reportedly received from her boyfriend. The Clayton Ridge School Board approved the resignation of Teri Thompson as Middle School/High School Principal effective at the end of the school year. (Crawford County, WI) -- The ferry connecting Crawford County, Wisconsin with Lansing, Iowa is out of service today(February 12th). Officials say the vessel has broken down and that repairs are being made. The ferry is expected to return to service sometime tomorrow.

A Harpers Ferry man was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Allamakee County. 66-year old Steven McKee was injured in the accident. The Iowa State Patrol reports the accident happened on February 8th at 10:56pm. McKee was operating a 2012 Ford F150 westbound on Lansing-Harpers Road near Basswood Drive. The McKee vehicle crossed the center line, drove on the south shoulder, entered the ditch and struck a tree head-on. McKee was taken by EMS to Veterans Memorial Hospital

On February 10, 2026, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Nycholas Dakota John Thompson, age 18 of Waterloo, on a valid Fayette County Felony Warrant for Failure to Appear on charges of: Controlled Substance Violation, Failure to Affix Drug Stamp, Child Endangerment, and 3 Counts of Burglary 3 rd  Degree. The Marquette City Council approved bids for the Chicago Street Project. Work will include resurfacing and a storm water project.
