Mar-Mac Police looking for information in connection with a hit-and-run accident
The Mar-Mac Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a red semi-truck hauling lumber. Friends of Pool 9 will hold a Mississippi River Clean-Up Day on Satutrday, April 18th
Friends of Pool 9 is spearheading this year’s Mississippi River Clean-Up Day on Pool 9 on Saturday, April 18 from 8:00 am to noon. Teams will gather at DeSoto WI, Blackhawk Park, WI, Ferryville, Lansing, and New Albin. Through Friends of Pool 9 efforts almost 100 tons of debris have been collected through the years. Arlington woman arrested for Driving While License Revoked
On April 3, 2026, at 8:20AM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call from the West Union Residential Facility in reference to a person who arrived that wasn't valid to drive. Upon investigation, 47-year-old Nancy Lynn Harkin of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Driving While License Revoked. Harkin was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was held for an initial appearance in court.

Garnavillo Police charge a Guttenberg man with Harrasment and Impersonating a Public Official
A complaint was received from a local resident of an ongoing harassment issue in late February of 2026. The resident reported that they were receiving unwanted and alarming contact from a male suspect who resided in Guttenberg. Fayette County arrest one on a warrant and a minor accident report
On March 31, 2026, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Gavin Lee Slifer, age 35 of State Center, on a Valid Fayette County Warrant for Felony Probation Violation.
