Winneshiek County Authorities release information on two-vehicle accident and a Warrant Arrest
A Calmar teen was charged in connection with a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. The accident happened on April 8th at 3:34pm on Highway 52 and 200th Street. 17-year old Gracyn Ella Humpal of Calmar was operating a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and failed to stop for a vehicle that slowed. Friends of Pool 9 is spearheading this year’s Mississippi River Clean-Up Day on Pool 9 on Saturday, April 18 from 8:00 am to noon. Teams will gather at DeSoto WI, Blackhawk Park, WI, Ferryville, Lansing, and New Albin. Through Friends of Pool 9 efforts almost 100 tons of debris have been collected through the years. Arlington woman arrested for Driving While License Revoked
On April 3, 2026, at 8:20AM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call from the West Union Residential Facility in reference to a person who arrived that wasn't valid to drive. Upon investigation, 47-year-old Nancy Lynn Harkin of Arlington, was arrested and charged with Driving While License Revoked. Harkin was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was held for an initial appearance in court.
