Prairie du Chien Council sets Public Hearing Date for Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades
The Praire du Chien City Council set March 17th as the date for a public hearing on the proposed Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades. Prairie du Chien School Board approves Operating Referendum Vote for April 7th
The Prairie du Chien School Board will hold an Operating Referendum vote on April 7th. The vote will be held to allow the District to receive 975-thousand dollars for three years beginning with the 26-27 School Year and ending with the 28-29 School Year. The plan is to use funds to support operational expenses and maintain educational standards. District voters turned down a similar referendum with nearly 48-percent voting in favor. .

Monona Council approves bond purchase for Center Street Project.
The Monona City Council approved the purchase of 1.1-million dollars worth of bonds for the Center Street Improvement Project. On February 28th, 2026, at approximately 2:41PM, a Fayette County Deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 40th Street and E Ave, Aurora, IA.
