Two people arrested on meth and other charges after incident in Arlington
On December 15 th , 2025, at approximately 9:02 pm, Fayette County Deputies investigated a Violation of a No-Contact Order at 859 High St. Arlington. Clermont man arrested and charged in connection in an assault incident
On December 16, 2025, at 12:30PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call of an assault that had occurred at 1003 Larrabee Street in the City of Clermont. Central School Board removes Interim Tag from Superintendent for 26-27

The Monona City Council was introduced to new Police Chief Mitchell Jipson. Jipson is from Guttenberg and previously worked with the Peosta Police Department. A new trial will be held for an Edgewood woman who had been sentenced to 10-years in prison in connection with a fatal UTV accident. 29-year old Hannah L. Meese pleaded guilty to one count of homocide by vehicle-reckless driving. Meese was charged in connection with a May 2021 UTV accident in which she lost control of the vehicle. Barn Fire near Maynard sends huge clouds of smoke into the air
(Maynard, IA) -- A barn fire sends huge clouds of black smoke into the air on Monday morning. The barn in Maynard was fully engulfed in flames when fire officials arrived around 8:00 a.m. No people or animals were injured.
