On October 6, 2026, the Decorah Police Department received a call to check the welfare of a subject at 701 Centrum Dr in Decorah, Iowa. The subject (Chad Johnson) left the residence on foot. Law Enforcement is on scene and attempting to locate Chad Johnson. He was last seen wearing gray shirt & navy blue sweatpants. Do NOT make contact with him. On October 2nd, 2026, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took Bradley James Bost (age 23) into custody for active arrest warrants. The Monona City Council set October 19th as the public hearing dates to sell property along the Butterfly Trail and the property at 111 Center Street. The Council accepted a bid of nearly 30-thousand dollars to remove the last four bump outs on Center and Main Street. On October 3, 2026 members of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa DNR, Dubuque County Conservation, Key West EMS and East Dubuque, IL EMS responded to Massey Marina for a single boat accident on the Mississippi River. Two male occupants of the boat were recovered from the Mississippi River and pronounced deceased on scene. The incident is under investigation by the Iowa DNR and is on-going.
