Maynard man faces charges after UTV accident in Fayette County
On March 9 th , 2026, at approximately 9:50pm, Fayette County Deputies were dispatched to a UTV accident near the intersection of 200 th Street & P Ave, Hawkeye, IA. After further investigation it was determined that Christopher Alan Cosgriff (age 40) of Maynard, IA was operating his 2021 Polaris Ranger UTV when he lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch. Farley Couple dies from injuries in connection with a March 1st Accident in Dubuque County.
On March 1, 2026, at approximately 0753 hours, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, and Centralia/Peosta Fire Department responded to the intersection of the Hwy 20 eastbound off ramp and Sundown Rd for a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Investigation showed the driver, Marvin Jarding (85 yoa) of Farley, was travelling eastbound on Hwy 20. He exited Hwy 20 onto the eastbound off-ramp at Peosta. Elkader City Council approves entering into Loan Agreement for new Ambulance
The Elkader City Council approved entering into a General Obligation Acquisition Loan Agreement. It involves borrowing an estimated 247-thousand dollars towards the purchase of a new ambulance. The Guttenberg City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance for rezoning the former Masonic Temple Building from Single Family Residential to General Office and Retail. Illinois man injured in two-vehicle accident and a Spillville man arrested after traffic stop
An Illinois man was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County.
