Clayton County Authorities release information on a number of arrest incidents and accidents
October 2, 2025 shortly after 2:00 a.m. – Deputies stopped a Ford Fusion driven by Jerilyn Fedeler, 22, of Volga, for no illuminated license plates and expired registration. Fedeler showed signs of impairment, admitted to drinking, failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested for OWI 1st. October 5 at approximately 1:00 p.m. – Cynthia Gerner, 61, of Elkader, was northbound on Highway 13 when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle turning left driven by Gary Dempster, 72, of Elk

Grant County Authorities release information on a number of incidents including report of gun shots and a vehicle fire
Reported Gun Shots On November 4, 2025 at 2:43 PM gun shots were reported in the area of Sand Lake Lane and Hwy 133 in Cassville Township. After hearing the gun shots, an employee of BNSF Railroad was seen running to wards another BNSF employee. The railroad worker also reported the gun shots and seeing a suspicious truck in the woods.
