Prairie du Chien City Council Approves New Waste/Recycle Collector
The Prairie du Chien City Council approved a five-year contract agreement with Kluesner Sanitation for Waste/Recycle and Yard Waste services in the city. The Council approved an ordinance dealing with Motorized Scooters. Areas will be mapped out in the city for use on multi-use paths or on streets. Motorized Scooters will not be allowed on Blackhawk Avenue. The Council amended the ATV and UTV Ordinance which now allows use of those vehicles 24-hours a day. Previously they

Fayette County Authorities Release Information on Four Arrest Incidents
On July 31st, a Fayette County Deputy arrested Victoria Ann Nieman, age 48 of Maynard on a valid Dubuque County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Nieman was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she later bonded out on a $1,500 c/s bond. Monona City Council Approves Purchase of Property
The Monona City Council approved the purchase of Commercial Property off of Highway 18. The property was purchased from James Wagner for five-thousand dollars. The City will use part of the property for the Butterfly Trail. The Council will be accepting bids for the property at 111 West Center Street. Bids will be due on August 14th by 4pm. The Council will hold their first meeting of next month on September 8th due to Labor Day being the first Monday of the month.

Grant County Authorities Release Information on Motorcycle Crash with Injuries and Minor Injuries Reported in a One-Vehicle Accident
Motorcycle Crash w/ Injuries On 8/1/26, at approximately 5:17pm, a Grant County Deputy came upon a motorcycle crash seconds after it occurred on County Line Rd., just off of Hwy 80, south of Livingston, in Clifton Township. Robert Myers, 75, of Livingston, was southbound on Hwy 80, on his 1988 Harley Davidson motorcycle. As Myers attempted to turn left onto County Line Rd., he lost control and left the roadway. Myers struck the ditch and was thrown off of the motorcycle.
