Delaware County Authorities release information on three weather related accidents. The first accident occurred on March 16th at 2:45am. 30-year old Matthew Alan Vaske of Manchester was operating a 2017 Peterbilt Milk Truck. Vaske was traveling eastbound on 255th Street when he drove into white-out conditions. The truck went into the north ditch and rolled onto its side. The Clayton County Board of Supervisors accepted a bid of 125-thousand dollars for the Bridge Replacement Project over Honey Creek. The bid went to K Construction. The Supervisors also accepted a bid of 31-thousand-five hundred dollars for improvements to the Garnavillo Salt/Sand Shed. That bid went to Ethan Koehn Construction.

The Central School Board a resolution to levy a tax for 250-thousand dollars to help pay off bonds that were used for the 6-million dollar reconstruction project. On 3/15/2026  at approximately 8:42 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a report of a rollover vehicle at the 12,000 block of HWY 18 with occupants still inside. When a deputy arrived on scene, both occupants were out of the vehicle. Kirschbaum, age 49, of Prairie du Chien, has been sentenced to three years in state prison followed by four years of extended supervision for his role in distributing methamphetamine in the Prairie du Chien area.
