Fort Atkinson man faces charge after traffic stop in Fayette County
On 4-19-26, at approximately 2:05 AM, a Fayette County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 100 Block of W Main St. in St. Lucas IA. Clayton County Conseration Board has new Executive Director
The Clayton County Conservation Board has hired Ean Popenhagen as the next Executive Director. Popenhagen, who served as Deputy Director this past year, is a graduate from North Fayette/Valley High school. Popenhagen later graduated from Hawkeye Community College and Upper Iowa University with a degree in Conservation Management. Popenhagen has been with Clayton County Conservation since June of 2021. He replaces Jenna Van Metereen who has been the Director since 2015.

LANSING, Iowa – April 15, 2026 – The Iowa and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation are continuing to construct the Mississippi River Bridge Project at Lansing.
