A Waterloo man died in a motorcycle accident in Winneshiek County. 65-year old Russell James Knudson died in the accident. Authorities report the accident happened on August 22nd at 5:54pm on Old Stage Road. A Fort Atkinson teen was charged in connection with a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. 15-year old Braylon Neal Holthaus was charged with Unsafe Backing on Highway. Fayette Man Faces Charges After Striking a Bridge and Details Released on Minor Accident and Arrest
On August 22, 2026, at approx. 1:35 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident that involved the striking of a bridge head on.
